NESTLE: Company History

• Established in 1867 founded by Henri Nestlé, a German

pharmacist, launched his Farine lactée, a combination of cow’s

milk, wheat flour and sugar, saving the life of a neighbour’s child.

• In 1912 began trading as The Nestlé Anglo-Swiss Condensed Milk

Company (Export) Limited, importing and selling finished

products in the Indian market.

• In 1961 the company setup its first factory in India , now it has

total 7 plants across country
