It is exciting news that Henbury School has funding confirmed to build a new

The afternoon Preschool Group had a wonderful afternoon

visiting Alawa Farm at the end of last term. Our first

excursion outside the school gates went off without a hitch!

We all enjoyed walking across the oval and into the farm. We

saw some scarecrows, vegetables growing and all the animals

in the farm. It was fun feeding the chickens, ducks, calves

and goats.

Some students from Alawa School fetched Tinkerbell (one of

the goats) for us to pat and feed. Dixon and Charlie had a

great time feeding her some

juicy green leaves. Seth

patted a chicken and

Christopher fed it. Julian

enjoyed watching it all from

the outskirts.

We had a fun time out!!

An energetic bunch of seniors took off on their adventure to Batchelor in week 1. They spent 3 days of fun doing the rock wall, the high ropes, low ropes, canoeing, snorkelling, archery, bike riding, trampoline, disco and lots of other activities in between. All students took on the role of looking after themselves and their gear well and behaved very responsibly throughout the camp. Lots of new and scary things were conquered by everyone as they took on the high ropes and flying fox and the challenge of learning how to canoe.

Room 13’s Senior Students collect, count and tally coins

for Biniam, Nemarluk’s sponsored child, who lives in

Ethiopia.

———-

We have decided to donate $50 from the sale of our Christmas Cards to Biniam this term. Biniam benefits from all the money we send him and we are happy to be able to give back to someone

less fortunate. This has been a great learning for us about giving back to the community.

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< But, please keep sending in any coins you have spare for us to

count and tally and then send to our friend, Biniam. Thank you!!!!
