February 2018 Neighborhood News Update
With construction set for a new 41-A District Court, the township has formally turned its attention to new facilities for the Shelby Township Library, the Shelby Township Senior Center, Shelby TV studios and offices for Parks, Recreation and Maintenance and Community Relations staff.
Leading this process is the Library/Senior Center Advisory Board (LSCAB). This board includes trustees Lynn Wilhelm and Doug Wozniak, engineer Carol Thurber, Community Relations Director Brad D. Bates, Library Director Katie Ester, DPW Director Dave Miller, and Parks, Recreation and Maintenance Director Joe Youngblood.
Our library and parks and our ability to effectively communicate with our residents is at the top of the list of quality-of-life functions. This facility will dictate how we serve those needs for generations, and I have complete confidence in the abilities of the LSCAB to do the job.
