During the summer, she is on the voice faculty at the Interlochen Center for the Arts in Michigan. Additionally, she was appointed as a Visiting Assistant Pro- fessor at the University of Notre Dame for fall 2016. She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts de- gree from the University of North Texas, a Mas- ter of Music from Southern Methodist Universi- ty, and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Toronto. McCormack has sung at Carnegie Hall, under the direction of Ton Koopman, Helmuth Rilling, and Robert Spano as part of the Professional Training Workshops series. Her roles include Nannetta in Verdi’s Falstaff, Barbarina in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro, Auro- ra in Cavalli’s L’Egisto, Tirsi in Handel’s Clori, Tirsi e Fileno, Cunegonde in Bernstein’s Can- dide and Cathy in Jason Robert Brown’s The Last Five Years. Her oratorio work includes Carissimi’s Jepthe, Vivaldi’s Gloria, Schütz’s Die sieben Worte, Bach’s Weihnachtsoratorium, Handel’s Messiah, Mozart’s Requiem, Schu- bert’s Mass in G, Fauré’s Requiem and Orff’s Carmina Burana. A featured soloist with the Fort Worth, South Bend, New Brunswick, and Springfield (Ohio) symphonies and the Bach Society of Dayton, engagements in 2016-2017 included recitals and guest teaching appoint- ments in Bangkok, Oklahoma City, Dallas, and Hong Kong. Dr. McCormack was selected as an Emerging Leader by the National Association of Teachers of Singing in 2012 and 2016, and she has presented for the National Opera As- sociation and the Pan-American Vocology As- sociation on issues related to vocal health. Dr. McCormack thoroughly enjoyed serving as Co- Manager of the Opera Company for the Bos- ton Early Music Festival’s 2017 season, and she looks forward to spending more time in the field of Arts Administration. Après avoir complété une maîtrise en direction chorale à l'Université de Montréal, il a dirigé et enseigné à l'Université de Sherbrooke, puis à l'Université de Montréal. De 2009 à 2015, il a dirigé les choeurs à l'École de musique Schulich de l'Université Mcgill. François A. Il en-tame sa seizième saison en tant que directeur musical des Voix Ferrées, un des choeurs québécois les plus en vue, avec lequel il multi-plie les collaborations avec des artistes de renom tels que les Soeurs Boulay, Karim Ouel-let, Émile Proulx-Cloutier et Patrick Watson.Il a enregistré les choeurs pour la bande sonore du film Mars et Avril, composée par Benoît Charest, qui a remporté le Jutras de la ''Meilleure musique de film'' en 2013. En jan-vier 2015, il endisquait la Missa Campanula, de Karen Young, avec le choeur professionnel Vo-ces Boreales et Suzie Leblanc. François A. Ouimet arrange et compose pour des choeurs de tous âges et tous niveaux. NEW BRUNSWICK YOUTH CHOIR 2018 May 3-6, 2018 Université de Moncton Clinician: François Ouimet Application Deadline: Wednesday November 15, 2017 Eligibility. Singers aged 16-24 are eligible to audition for the NBYC. Candidates should have some singing experience and it is strongly rec-ommended that they can read music. Accommodations and cost. NBYC members who must travel will be billeted with local fami-lies. Cost is $225 and includes all music, rooms and meals. A $50 deposit is due March 9, 2018, $25 of which is non-refundable.

An audition recording. The recording will consist of two vocal exercises which will be provided, and two songs sung a cappella, one in the singer’s preferred language and one in a different language of the singer’s choice. 2. A brief letter explaining why the applicant wishes to join the NBYC. 3. A letter of reference from a voice teacher, music teacher or choir director. Ouimet is a very active Montreal-based conductor. He completed a Masters in Choral Conducting at Université de Montréal in 2000. He then went on to teach and conduct at Université de Sherbrooke, Université de Montréal, and conducted the choirs at McGill's Schulich School of music from 2009 to 2015. Mr. Ouimet teaches at Vincent-d'Indy Music School, where he conducts multiple choral en-sembles, from elementary to college level. He is Chorusmaster for the Orchestre Métropoli-tain, conducted by Maestro Yannick Nézet-Séguin, since 2010. He has prepared this cho-rus for such works as Bach's Christmas Orato-rio and St-Matthew Passion, Verdi's Requiem, Beethoven's Missa Solemnis, and Wagner's Lohengrin. This last production won an Opus award for 'Concert of the Year, Romantic music'. A versatile conductor, he is equally at ease in Renaissance, contemporary choral works, Jazz and Gospel. He has worked with many of the best Québec pop and jazz artists, providing singers and choral arrangements for

Patrick Watson, Karen Young, les Soeurs Boulay, and Oscar-winning film composer Benoît Charest, who won a Félix for 'Film soundtrack of the Year' for Mars et Avril, which featured choral music prominently. He is musi-cal director of les Voix Ferrées, widely consid-ered to be one of the best, most original community choirs in the province. In 2015 he recorded an album of Karen Young's Missa Campanula, with Voces Boreales and Suzie Leblanc. A sought-after clinician, he has been invited in various parts of Canada to give workshops and conduct. He has a small cata-logue of choral works that have been per-formed by Pro Coro Canada and Voces Bore-ales, two of the best professionnal choirs in the country.

A SEESAW OF SONG – FROM BACH TO BRITTEN Sunday September 24, 7:00 pm Saint Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 512 Charlotte Street Fredericton NB Karon Croll, Contralto, and Ruth Nieboer, Pi-ano, with guest Alexis Ervin, Soprano, will present A Seesaw of Song – from Bach to Brit-ten.  Along with sacred selections, the program will feature composers J. S. Bach,  Franz Schu-bert, Ralph Vaughan Williams and a Benjamin Britten arrangement of a playful English folk-song.  Please join us for an enjoyable hour of musical entertainment.  Admission by free will offering at the door. FREDERICTON LADIES CHOIR SEEKS NEW MEMBERS The Fredericton Ladies Choir is a non-audi-tioned, three-part, 70-voice community choir under the direction of Sally Dibblee. The choir practises on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 in the church hall (Family Life Centre) at Brunswick Street Baptist Church, corner of York Street at Brunswick. Parking available. SAINT JOHN CHORAL FESTIVAL Saturday, October 28, 7:00 pm Trinity Church, Saint John  This will be the third instalment of the annual Saint John Choral Festival. Involved choirs have included the Saint John Chorale, Saint John Men’s Chorus, Carleton Choristers, Saint John High School, Harbour View High School, and Divine Mercy School ensembles.  The 200-voice concert finale will include Handel’s ‘Hal-lelujah’ with trumpets and the new digital pipe organ, and proceeds will go to Trinity’s renova-tion fund.
