Nativity Clothing & Household Items Drive Saturday October 24 th , 2020 9 a.m. – 12 noon Nativity School parking lot Bring your gently used clothing (all seasons) and household items – such as dishes, pots and pans, and small appliances. The most urgently needed items are blankets and winter coats. “Gently used” means that donated items need to be in good, clean, useable condition – things you’d be happy to give to a loved one. Sorry, we can’t accept items that are broken or soiled. But clothing that is no longer in good condition can be BAGGED and MARKED for our RECYCLING program. NO furniture at Nativity, please. You can always donate furniture (and other items) at the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store, 461 W. Seventh Street, St. Paul. Call (651) 227-1332. A St. Vincent de Paul truck with eager helpers will collect your donations at the Nativity parking lot and deliver them to the Society’s St. Paul and Minneapolis Thrift Stores for sale to the public. Our Thrift Stores make it possible for people of limited means to get items they urgently need. The cash generated by Thrift Store sales – from your donations – funds SVdP’s collection and free distribution of 4 million meals annually to food shelves all over the Twin Cities. To learn more about, or get involved in, the Nativity of Our Lord Conference of St. Vincent de Paul call (651) 334-2935.

St. Vincent de Paul at Nativity Our St. Vincent de Paul Conference is active in several ways. We meet with those who come to our parish with immediate needs that can be addressed with simple acts like receiving a bus card or arranging for lodging and a meal. For more involved needs, such as housing or utility problems, more extensive assistance is needed and typically involves visits to the home by a pair of Vincentians. In all these ministries, the key is a faith-based opportunity to serve Christ in the person of the needy. Providing material assistance with Christian compassion and witness is at the heart of our Vincentian Mission. We invite you to consider joining us in this mission of charity by contacting us and visiting at one of our regular meetings. Call (651) 334-2935 to learn more.
