Mary lived in Nazareth - she was engaged to Joseph

GOD sent Gabriel, an angel, to speak to Mary. “You are truly blessed! You will have a son, and you must call him Jesus.”

The angel then spoke to Joseph in a dream and told him to marry Mary

Joseph and Mary had to travel to Bethlehem to be counted in the census

There was no room for them

to stay in the inn

Mary laid him on a bed of hay

Some shepherds were guarding their sheep in the fields near Bethlehem, when suddenly…

…an angel appeared. “I have good news for you. Christ the Lord, a Saviour, has been born in Bethlehem.”

The shepherds found Mary and Joseph, and they saw the baby lying on the hay. As they

returned to their sheep they praised GOD and said wonderful things about Him.

Some wise people saw a

strange star in the east

“Where is the child who is born to be king of the Jews?” they wondered

The wise people worshipped the baby, and gave him their gifts of gold, frankincense and

myrrh
