national simultaneous storytime at bacirc
DESCRIPTION
Our three Kindergrten classes came to the IRC to take part in this year's National Simultaneous Storytime event. The book Too Many Elephants in This House written by Ursula Dubosarsky and illustrated by Andrew Joyner was featured but first we found that the IRC has a lot of elefants 'hiding in it'. Some books were about elephants but some had them hidden inside! These were shown on the Whiteboard using a Lumens Projector. Year 12 commented that they always had to squint to see picture books in Kindergarten and that this was a great invention! After a search for the books hidden under the bookshelves, students watched the story via YouTube on the Interactive White Board then watched again with their 'Elephant masks' trumpeting at appropriate, and sometimes inappropriate, times! A great time was had by all - especially the Year 12 students who should have been studying.TRANSCRIPT
