The proposed seminar provides an overview
on the recent technological developments in
controlling pollution. The objectives of this
seminar are to bring together experts from
academic institutions, industry personnel,
and researchers for sharing their knowledge,
expertise and experience in controlling and
abating different types of pollution. Peoples
from mechanical and civil engineering can
also participate and may get benefited.
Authors from Academic institutes, R&D
Organizations and industry personals are
invited to contribute their research papers on
the above themes. Abstract of the paper
should not exceed 250 words and the paper
should be in Times New Roman, 10 font, 1.5
spacing on A4 size paper not exceeding 10
pages.

Meerut Institute of Engineering &
Technology (MIET) at Meerut was
established in 1997 by City Educational &
Social Welfare Society. This institute,
today, is a leading Institute known for its
academic excellence and placement is also
a preferred destination for technical
education for students of Uttar Pradesh
particularly in this region. MIET is recipient
of UPTU Excellence awards 2008 and 2009.
MIET has also received Best Institute
Award in NCR in 2013. MIET is conveniently
located in the NCR approximately 60 Kms
from Delhi on the Delhi-Dehradun National
Highway-58.
The Department established in 1999 and
offers undergraduate programme in
chemical engineering. The programme is
accredited by NBA. Department has
qualified young and dynamic teaching
staff, many with specializations in various
streams and also from reputed institutions
and has excellent lab facilities. Apart from
the regular subjects of the course, the
department also offers a wide range of
elective subjects, which benefits the
students in pursuing their field of interest
so as to specialize and concentrate more on
fields relevant to their projects.
