State has a rich supply of Iron ore, Mica,
Coal, Lime-stone, Copper and other minerals
Out of 62 thousand million
tonnes of coal in the
country, Jharkhand alone
has 36% share.
Mr. Sriprakash Jaiswal (Union Minister of State for Coal)
Industries based on these should be properly encouraged by the
State with its infra-structural help for boosting the Industrial
Development in the State.
Mr. Jaiswal urged the State government to accord proper security to
the CCL operated mines as it would improve the production by a
huge margin.

To Increase Happiness Index of PeopleUnion Coal Minister, Mr. Sriprakash JaiswalTells Industries
As growth is closely associated with the development of the
people, industrial tycoons should take steps to raise the standard
of living of people residing near their establishments, Union Coal
Minister Sriprakash Jaiswal said it.
Emphasising on the need for proper implementation of corporate
social responsibility by industries, the Union Minister called
upon industrial tycoons to work towards uplifting the standard of
life of the people living around their companies
Economy of Jharkhand should get a boost with industries such
as ArcelorMittal evincing interest in setting up shop in the
mineral-rich state.

Displaced Persons Should Be On The Priority
List Of All Industrialists said Mr. Jaiswal
Industrialists should treat the displaced persons offering their
land for the setting up of industries with utmost care on priority
basis and just not think only about their profits.
The Industrialists should take it up as a responsibility to ensure
proper rehabilitation of the displaced families so that these
families have a secured future
The Industrialists both existing as well as those planning to set
up their units in Jharkhand should dedicatedly think on the
lines of development of the society.

Governor Urged Industrial Units
Governor said that Jharkhand isa mineral rich State providing
immense opportunity for the
investors. Industries usher in the
development. It is unfortunate
that such a rich State hasmaximum number of families
under the BPL
New Industries should whole heartedly work on the
rehabilitation of the displaced families who have given theirland for industrialization. While the State will proper with
the Industrial development the development of the society is
also equally important. The welfare of the displaced families
is a top priority matter and should be addressed as such
asserted the Governor too.

Nothing is Impossible: G.K. Pillai, CMD HEC
If the will power is strong then
nothing is impossible and any work
can be done with ease. Even with
limited resources the unattainable
can be attained as shown by theHEC
HEC is still working with the age old machines and helping hands but is
successfully meeting all the challenges and accepting new ones
CMD said that at one time it seemed practically impossible that HEC
would recover from its losses but the change in mindset of the workers
made the seemingly impossible task possible and none of the company is
just forging ahead.

RINs CMD P K Vishnoi awarded with the life timeachievement award whereas HECs CMDG K Pillai
felicitated with a special award for his meritorious service.
Jharkhands Chief Secretary in his address said that there is
no alternative to hard work and proper guidance. These twoform the crux of any challenge and if the State is to compete
internationally then these two major factors have to be
addressed foremost
TATAGroups Advisor R P Retolia stated in his address thatthe person who tries genuinely never fails. Problems should
be handled on priority basis and success demands positive
effort.
There was absolute pin drop silence in the auditorium during these addresses.
