Some bits and pieces from Sue….. I had the privilege of listening to our singing group during one of their practice sessions last week. Their singing, and Mr Henderson’s guitar playing, were some highlights of my week. I am very much looking forward to hearing more of their singing and enjoying some of their public performances between now and the end of the school year. Well done boys and girls! What a busy place ‘The Patch’ is as Spring time creeps upon us! We are most fortunate to have so many enthusiastic garden-tenders here at NPS. I’m also excited about some of the ideas and activities the ‘Enviro-champs’ are coming up with. We will soon have some more bins to help us with our recycling habits and our champs will speak to all our classes and explain what they have been leading in our school. The Narrandera Show has come around again and I am looking forward to seeing our NPS display at the show this Saturday as well as many entries in the show from our students. Thanks to Miss Bonham for her annual coordination of setting up our school’s show display – it is always a terrific feature to enjoy at the show. This past week has been a busy one with a number of discussions being held with families, staff members and children in support of children’s learning and wellbeing. I thank everyone for prioritising these important partnerships and thank families who provide us with very positive suggestions, feedback and, who contribute in many ways to our school’s learning and wellbeing culture. It certainly does take a ‘village to raise a child’ and we have ongoing strong evidence that our adult team efforts here at NPS impact positively on individual children’s educational needs. Thank you all for being a part of our team here at NPS and for caring so much for all our students. Thank you also to our student leadership team who have met with Mrs. Hugo and I during the past weeks to contribute to feedback and suggestions about a range of things that are in place (or could be in place) here at their school. The students are making valuable contributions that will inform our future planning. Thank you to our captains, prefects and sport captains for their thoughtful responses and mature discussions. We are very proud of our student leaders. Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there! We hope that you might be able to join us at our Father’s day breakfast on Friday morning – the weather is looking good and the food will be yummo! Enjoy.
