• Defining Entrepreneurism as a chosen career pathway

• 2008 through 2012 impacts:

– Served (inspired)over 1000 youth

– Provided over 1300 hours of training to students ages 14-27

– Served 9 high schools

– 54 businesses started

– Over 500 business plans developed

Student Operated Businesses- Sweetarte

ENTREPRENEURSHIP - Small Business Ownership

The former Retailing class became part of the Entrepreneurship program in the 2011 -2012 school

year!

The Dragon's Lair - Student Store is the lab for the Entrepreneurship class. Students will explore

owing and operating a business.

Then have fun applying what they learn in class while working at the Student Store.

Opportunities available to students include: developing valuable job skills; being part of team; and

hands-on learning!

CULINARY ARTS/HOSPITALITY CLASS provides students with a healthy

option for lunch and trains them how to operate a small “green” business.

They operate a food stand and use profits to create further learning

opportunities.
