He Only Takes The Best
A heart of gold stopped beating.Two shining eyes at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to usHe only takes the best.
God knows you had to leave us,but you didn’t go alone,
for part of us went with youthe day He took you home.To some you are forgotten,
to others just part of the past,but to us who loved and lost you,
the memory will always last.

FOOTPRINTS
One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he noted two sets of footprints in the sand: one belonging to him, and the other to the Lord.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it. “Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, you’d walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in. my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don’t understand why when I needed you most you would leave me.”
The Lord replied, “My precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.”

The Twenty-Third Psalm
The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.He maketh me to lie down in green pastures;
He leadeth me beside the still waters.He restoreth my soul. He leadeth me in thepath of righteousness for His name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of theshadow of death, I will fear no evil;
for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies.
Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I
will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
