It’s always proud feeling when we think that we are living in city which

makes its promising presence on map of the world and we are part of it. The

relation with city is like that relation with your love ones means you always think

what kind of happiness will be given to it. The nature of city changes from past

years which show reason to select as smart city by government of India. In coming

year’s lots of things has to be done smartly by considering all citizens so that we

can proudly say yes its smart Nasik. By considering current scenario of nashik city

let’s see some points on which the nashik we want:

Mindset of citizens: Nature of city always depends on mindset of citizens of

city. Each citizen must think from its heart regarding development of city is

positive manner. Each citizen must aware about smart city and must have positive

mindset to contribute for it in some manner. It’s always says that will is little more

important than skill. If will of citizens is not set for future then no policy, rules,

regulation’s, schemes will be implemented correctly and positively. Citizens of

nashik must have will to work for city so unity will be shown to others and that

will be plus point except other. Each citizen must always think that yes my city is

great and I always try to maintain that status of it. I always produce good outcomes

of my city to others so no any bad message spread in community.

Youth participation: A young and ignite mind always create innovations so

youth of nashik will create culture of innovations and happiness programs that may

be social, educational, informative, security, celebration, helpful etc. youth must

raise their voice for better policy which will be implemented in city. Fully

confident, positive thinking with positive action and active young generation we

want from nashik for sustainable development of city.

Water Supply: This is basic amenity that every citizen, industry or any

other part of city required. Thankfully we have great supply of water so

distribution and availability of water is required in future so that everyone will get

water as per there demand. Only getting water will not solve problem but getting

pure quality water is required at large context. Dirty or polluted water leads to

health problems so our citizen using water to visit doctors? Of course no so each

citizen must get pure quality water for daily purpose. Water meter must be fit to

every section so that water saving will be done because future demand has to be

kept in mind. We want water for citizens, farmers, industries for smooth

functioning and purification technology required with water ATM facility. We

want more trees plantation or greenery from nashik so more than expectation rain

will be there which solves problem and can be we serve as helping hand to others.

Electricity: To make education possible now electricity required. Street

lights must covered with LEDs, Good conditioned roads, space for walk, home

lights must use low watt electricity bulbs. We do not want load shading in nashik

as for fast development we require electricity. Generator at bus stop, hospitals,

crowded regions are required in case of no availability of electricity. ATM based

charging point also required which can be used by using card or any other

mechanism. Electricity to slum areas must reach by getting minimum amount so

that they maybe benefited

Public Transport: Its sees that we are playing with life of students as public

transport not implemented properly. Scheduling of buses required as per college

and school timing with trained driver and conductor. Waiting for bus must be stop

at night or morning so that time can be enjoy by citizen. Bus tracking system must

be developing so at least citizen can get information and then they can tahe

corrective actions. A detailed and updated time table must be place on web or bus

stop so outside passengers can get detailed information. In bus an indicator must be

fit which shows next stop so it will be good. Availability of rickshaw must be

required through prepaid centers so they must provide security. Trained drivers

with smiling face always create feeling of happiness.

IT Connectivity: Citizens must be connected to each other through network

of information technology. Internet of things must be use at large level to get up to

date information to every person who visit nashik. Paperless system with tracking

system using web or app required in future to minimize time and money. In future

citizens of nashik must use apps and web which developed for them and must take

benefit of that so proper utilization will be there. Everything must be connected

through network so control, monitor, and get information about activities going on

in nashik. Lots of industries must attract to nashik because of smart IT

connectivity. Digitalization of Nashik Municipal Corporation, Zilha parishad,

MIDC, communities, organizations is required from nashik in future. Each

valuable part of nashik must have its own website so other people can easily get

detailed information of anything from web.

E-Governance: Alerts regarding government schemes, projects, notices will

come on mobile of citizen and it will display in public spaces. All documents will

upload on digital locker to make digital nashik. Helpline numbers or information

centers will require getting any detailed information of any service.

Environment: Clean Nashik must be set as top priority for making city of

heart. Dustbins must be placed in public places, boards regarding cleanness shall

be display to change mindset, Fine against making dirty places required so

cleanliness will be improve. Bio toilet or e-toilet system required at slum area.

Safety and Security: CCTV Cameras, Police quick action against crime,

smart task force, monitoring of criminals, awareness programs for citizens,

empower and strengthen women power to face trouble want from nashik.

Health: Gym and yoga centers for youngsters, senior citizens to maintain

health, consultation service, quick response system of medical department against

request, skilled and updated doctor phone numbers, center for relaxation and

meditation, open play ground, gym, walking space to earn fresh air, availability of

generic medicines and use of Ayurveda medicine. Camps off laughing, sharing,

and awareness required to concern with health.

Tourism: A web which shows detailed information of tourist places in

nashik along with detailed information with 3600 tour and videos of each place,

developed tourism places with guides, showcase, museum, drinking and food

facility. Tourist bus required with all facilities to visit places near to nashik. Tourist

spot information must be display on bus stop, railway station or central spot to

attract tourist.

Education: Education to all, Local video channel which broadcast on

television to teach and learn without internet, centralized educator center to teach

and learn anything by anyone, centralized research lab to promote innovation to to

increase computer literacy, share success stories and many more. All information

of nashik must be put on Wikipedia for global access and standard of educational

institutes must be increase with good infrastructure, quality, placement and

outcome. Entrepreneurship creation center required from nashik to stat new

business and motivate young entrepreneurs.

To summarize this all points we can say what we want from nashik:

Will of citizen’s must be change to support smart city, Developing peoples

to deal with peoples

Quality water supply with monitoring facility

Availability of power with use of solar energy and electricity audit

Scheduling and tracking of public transport, Traffic management through

technology with smart parking system.

Connecting all through IT network and improving living of standard of

citizens. Availability of internet and wifi

Connecting citizens and industries with digital India mission

Clean nashik with less pollution and centralized market for farmers to sell

their vegetables and crops.

Secure and safe nashik to enjoy in city

Provision to maintain health and become fit to stay in city

Tourism development for increasing revenue

Centralized centers with e-education or creation of education hub with

standards.

Strategy and plan to welcome industries to start their work in nashik

Time to time feedback and survey system regarding current condition of

nashik and what nashikkar wants.

Nashik says “ We are not in Competition but we are competitor to others ”

Nashik will be role model for other cities that type of nashik we want.

Definitely all citizens will see dream to become part of smart city and they feel

proud when they say our city selected for smart city. Smart city message must

reach to every stakeholder of nashik so that they can see dream of there future city.
