For customers needing up to 50,600 cfh-ntp of nitrogen, the idealsupply is Praxair’s N40. The N40 is a cryogenic nitrogen plantthat consists of a Warm End which includes the air compressorpackage and prepurifier equipment, and a Cold End which includesthe distillation column, primary heat exchanger, and main condenser.The N40 uses liquid assist for the refrigeration requirement of theplant. The system also comes with a liquid nitrogen Backup Systemfor ultimate reliability.

The N40 is designed to operate without a nitrogen compressor andtypically delivers nitrogen at the customer required pressure directlyoff the cold end. Plant capacity varies with operating pressure.
