My life story starting from where I was born.....The Equatorial waters of

the Atlantic Ocean.

My life began when I formed in the warm equatorial waters of

the Atlantic Ocean. I was first named a

Tropical Depression at 11˚N latitude and 37˚W

longitude. At the time my winds were around 57mph and the water

temperature was 73˚F.

As the waters warmed to 77˚F, I became stronger. When I reached 20˚N latitude and 59˚ W longitude,

my winds exceeded 69 mph, so they upgraded me to a Tropical

Storm.

With wind speeds reaching 80mph I grew to a Category 1 hurricane. My location at this time was 26˚N latitude and

68˚W longitude. The water temperatures were

around 80˚F. They gave me the name HURRICANE

GEORGE

Since the water temperatures continue to get warmer, I continue to

get stronger. Now that my wind speed has grown from 80mph to 97mph I

was upgraded to a Category 2. I'm at 25.5˚N

latitude and 72˚ W longitude and capable of

destroying roofs and windows.

As I zero in on the southern coast of Florida I have gained a tremendous amount of strength.

With water temperatures greater than 83˚F my wind

speeds have reached 145mph. Since I am located at 25.4˚N

latitude and 77˚W longitude, the people of Florida better watch

out!! As a newly crowned Category 4, I can do extensive building damage. Miami beach

here I come!!

As I began to hit Florida I was at

26˚N latitude and 81.6˚W longitude

with water temperatures of

84˚F. Winds were reaching 144mph.

I begin to hit Florida with all of my strength with wind speed of up to 149mph and wind surges of up

to 17ft. I reach up to about the middle of Florida when I decide to go back to the waters because I'm

downgrading. I destroyed everything in my path.

Hurricane George

After hitting Florida I downgraded to a

Category 3 hurricane. My location is 26˚N latitude and 85˚W

longitude with winds of 121mph. Water

temperatures raise to 86˚F.

Due to the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico I quickly upgraded to a Category 4. The water temperature is 87˚F. I'm located at 27˚N

latitude and 88˚W longitude. The winds are 154mph and are continuing to grow at

this point.

I grew to a Category 5 hurricane and plan to

hit Louisiana. My winds are 183mph. My

location at this point is 28.8˚N latitude 90.7˚W

longitude. Water temperature are 87˚F.

I hit Louisiana and traveled all the way up to West Virginia as began to die out. My wind surge was

27ft. My location was 38˚N latitude

and 83˚W longitude when I died.

The damage to Louisiana is estimated at $1 billion.
