May 23ROTHENBURG “MASTER TRUNK” FESTIVALSince 1881 the citizens of Rothenburg have celebrated “The Master Trunk” festival. No historical event has shaped the character of the town of Rothenburg like the story of the Master Trunk. According to the story handed down to us, on October 31, 1631, former mayor of Rothenburg, Georg Nusch, saved the town from certain destruction by drinking 3 1/4 liters of wine in one gulp. Every year, the costumes and carriages, wagons and weapons of the Thirty Years’ War are once again to be seen on the streets of Rothenburg’s old town, where the event is reenacted. Price: $49 per adult, $39 per child (3-12), $10 per child under 3.

The Chiemsee lake has two main islands: The Herrenchiemsee (with the castle from King Ludwig), and the Frauenchiemsee Island. The Herrenchiemsee palace built by King Ludwig ll in 1878 was never completed but was meant to be a replica of the Palace of Versailles in France. Tours of the castle and its extensive grounds on the island are conducted throughout the summer. Once we arrive at the Chiemsee lake you can purchase 3 tour packages from the boat pier ticket office (approx. €10-30 per person). Price: $59 per adult, $49 per child.

Leipzig has shopping arcades, a wide selection of department stores and small boutiques along the precincts, promenades, cafes and restaurants in the city center. The great composers who lived and worked in Leipzig would be enough to fill a canon of musical history – Johann Sebastian Bach, Clara Schumann, Richard Wagner and Felix Mendelssohn and others. ZURICH, SWITZERLANDSwitzerland’s largest city, Zurich, retains much of its 19th century charm. Located on the northern shore of Lake Zurich, in the geographical heart of the country, the city has a lot of sightseeing attractions for everyone. The majority of the more than 375,000 residents speak a form of German called “Schwyzerdütsch”. As a former seat of the Reformation, Zurich is a largely Protestant, some might say Puritan, city. Built between the wooded slopes of the Uetliberg and the Zürichberg, Zurich is divided by the Limmat River. With a vibrant scene, there’s much to explore in Zurich’s Old Town. Price: $89 per adult, $79 per child (3-12), $10 per child under 3. Passport required.

We’re doing it again!

Vanya and Sonia have never left the confines of their childhood home in Bucks County, PA, while their sister Masha has been gallivanting around the world as a successful movie star.

The only other resident of the house is the cleaning woman Cassandra, who, like her namesake is prone to making dire prophecies that no one believes. This static environment is disrupted when Masha returns

home, bringing with her a flurry of drama, endless insecurities, and a much younger, gorgeous, dimwitted lover named Spike, who takes every opportunity to show off his body.

By the end of this impromptu family reunion, this lovable bunch won’t ever be the same!

You won’t want to miss this dinner theatre!
