Welcome to St. John’s Lutheran Church this weekend as we gather around Word and Sacrament to be filled and renewed by the Holy Spirit to grow together in our relationships with Christ and with one another. We are glad you are here! If you do not yet have a church home in Springfield and are interested in becoming part of St. John’s, we invite you to visit with one of our pastors. Jesus frequently uses parables to teach ordinary people as they are able to hear and understand. Today’s parables from Mark use images of sowing and growing to show the vitality of God’s kingdom.
