New Vendors: Evaluation of potential new vendors with a view to setting up local service/International/purchasing agreements and negotiations with current vendors and to have these added where not in place. Ensure ‘Due Diligence’ is adhered to. Contracts: Continual evaluation and review of current or expiring contracts to ensure value and quality are maintained or require to be re-negotiated Accounts Payable: Close scrutiny of every local invoice /International submitted and approval to submit to the AP(Accounts Payable) system for payment. Authorization to start payment ‘Runs’ to vendors. This is a strongly recognized necessity to ensure payment is always on time as, a minimum ,especially for our local vendors. Financial: Full signatory for Cheques, Bank Guarantees, Local income tax etc. Commercial approval for all requistions over $25,000 and immediate approval of all local Invoices, upon my my approval,to $250K plus.(This requires dual signatures). Logistics: Oversee of incoming and outgoing shipments and the vagaries of the local customs protocols.

This is a challenge on its own.

• Customs: Frequent meetings with Customs and other government officials on areas of concern ensuring a strong ethical conduct is maintained.

• Rig Inventory: Assisting the Rigs’ Asset Managers and rig materials people in maintaining inventory to optimum levels versus stock value while identifying critical items to meet with operational demands. Monitor the monthly Inventory values with monthly reports and ensure monthly stock counts are maintained and any variances are within tolerance.
