MurmurationsMaggie Sepsey is a double major studying dance and psychology, set to be graduating from Saint Mary’s in the spring. She has been dancing since she was two years old, where she began training in ballet, keeping her focus in this style throughout high school, and competing in the national ballet competition Youth America Grand Prix. She then expanded to train in jazz, modern, African, and musical theatre to deepen her movement training. Although she began her training in Southern California doing mostly competition dance, Maggie has fostered her skill in modern and choreography and has been deeply involved in dance in the Bay Area. She has had the opportunity to dance at American College Dance Association for all of her three years in college, representing the choreographers in the dance program and further extending her creative endeavors and studies.

Eesha Shah is a double major in Dance and Psychology. She is set to be graduating from Saint Mary’s College of California in the spring. She’s been dancing since the age of five where she started training in Bollywood and continued to train in ballet, modern, African and hip hop. During her time at Saint Mary’s, she has found a new passion and love for ballet and modern and shown tremendous improvement in her technique. She began her dance training in Piedmont in her own home doing hip-hop and Bollywood. Eesha has had many opportunities to perform on stage and present her unique dance technique to the crowd. She finds the inspiration and motivation to dance from all her dance professors who have helped her grow as a beautiful dancer all three years in college. She is  extremely grateful for the love and support from the SMC Dance Company in her journey of becoming a strong dancer and choreographer.

Coming from Portland, Oregon, Willa Clare Truby is eager to be pursuing her Bachelor of Arts in Women & Gender Studies and Dance: Choreography and Performance and is set to graduate from Saint Mary’s this spring. Raised in a family of passionate artists and musicians, Willa Clare has been fond of music and dancing for as long as she can remember. Starting at the age of seven up until eighteen, she trained intensively and performed with The Portland Ballet’s Youth Company, and deeply appreciates the adventurous opportunities for growth at summer dance intensives including Alonzo King Lines Ballet, where her heart is called even now. After representing SMCDC at American College Dance Association for three consecutive years and now in her final year at Saint Mary’s, Willa Clare pays tribute to all her dance professors for her increased love and knowledge of jazz, modern and West African forms of dance. Her exploration as the choreographer for Lifting the Veil is a new emergence and she hopes to create more art in the near future!
