OBJECTIVE• The Objective of this document is as follows

• To describe the process and provide the necessary procedures required to implement the installation of the new batteries by replacing the old ones.

STEP BY STEP INSTALLATION PROCEDURES• The following procedures will be conducted to attain a satisfactory

completion of this work. The work will be done in five-phases. The phases are as follows

– Phase I. Installation of temporary battery bank and temporary battery disconnect switch, dismantling and removing of existing battery bank and

disconnect switch.– Phase II. Installation of new battery rack, battery cell, battery cables and disconnect

switch– Phase III. Applying initial charge to newly installed battery cells and

discharge/recharge– Phase IV. Acceptance test newly installed battery string.– Phase V. Connecting the new battery string to the existing DC Rectifier.
