Final thesis submission should adhere to the template circulated 2. Students are encouraged to get respective guide’s approval before proceding to print the thesis. 3. Apart from individual Copies, 2 Copies of the Project Report should be submitted (One each for the Guide and Department Library) 4. The thesis should be uniformly binded as a SOFTBOUND VOLUME with the WRAPPER made of White color ART PAPER (similar to the format of mini- project submission). 5. Minimum Number of pages in the thesis – 125. 6. Maximum number of pages of the report - 150. 7. Figures/tables/equations/footnote/references must be appropriately placed. 8. Use-case/state chart/sequence/etc diagrams should be provided in separate Appendix. 9. All the pages from the introduction chapter must be numbered serially and the numbers must be placed at the top – right corner of the page. All other preceding pages should be numbered in roman numbers (refer to the template circulated). 10. Font Size of the running text material in the report (other than headings, Subheadings etc) – 12 in Times New Roman (Normal) – 1.5 Line spacing Justified. 11. Subheadings Should be preceded by proper Index

    13. Tables should be named as a. Table 1 - & it should be placed at the top of the Table.

    14. The notations used should be consistent throughout the project report and its explanation must be given in the Nomenclature.

    FORMAT OF THE REPORT

    (Editing Specification) Refer to the template circulated and strictly adhere to the outline draft

    Chapters of the Project report:specific format The number of Chapters in the body of the report may vary depending on the type of the project. While grouping the chapters, the following points must be taken in to account. Note that the documentation should consist the following: Introduction of the project (Include problem definition, goals and Objectives,

    application, provide use-cases for problem definition) Literature survey on the problem definition Architecture of the proposed system. (use VISIO to create professional looking

    frameworks) Implementation with test results (Module-wise implementation with Process

    specifications and system snapshots, etc) and Testing of the system (Strategies & methodology adopted, test cases, test results etc)

    User Manual, operational manual (only if needed) etc. Conclusion and Future Enhancements. References 8 Appendix A Design (High level, Low level (Module wise), User Interface Design etc, use of DFD, STD, UML diagrams etc)

  • The references should be quoted then and there in the running material of the report like [1] etc and all the references should be indicated in numerical order at the end of the report. The format for the references are available in http://www.ieee.org/documents/ieeecitationref.pdf NOTE: The thesis should strongly motivate the description of students contribution and should sufficiently distinguish the contribution from literature survey.
