It seems that some children have forgotten how to be a true friend,

because we have a serious issue

confronting children of all ages.

BULLYING

Problem: More and more students are

victims of a bullying situation in their

school setting which negatively disrupts

their learning.

Evidence: Bullying is such an issue in New York State, that

The Dignity Act was signed into law on September 13, 2010 and

took effect on July 1, 2012.

Existing Policy: The Dignity Act seeks to provide the State’s public elementary and secondary school students with a safe and supportive environment free from discrimination, intimidation, taunting, harassment, and bullying on school property, a school bus and/or at a school function.

that WEWE can be part of the solution to the

serious social issue of bullying in our schools.

Your task: You and your group will create a poster
