They found eight local Muslim women, aged between 24 and 33, in the parlour that was equipped with nine small partitions, a sauna room and three bathrooms. Inside each partition were a stained mattress, pillow, blanket and massage oils, while the bigger "VIP"room had a sofa and massage bed. "Next year's projected expenses are: 20%foremolument (staff salary), .16.8%adm\nistration(office operations), 58.5%back to basic mainte-nance (road patching, repairing streetlights,cleaning work), and 4.6%development per se(new roads and parks).

"We also took in the MPSJ~otincillors' viewsand included several new programmes fornext year," said Adnan.

"Thecouncil has included inits 201OJ>udgetaRM350,OOOallocation to build a e-ematoriuminPuchong;"

As part of its CSR initative, the. !\liPS]will ..have a poverty eradication fund for humandevelopment activities, and afiatnraldisasterfund as a:contingency plan.

"Depending on the programme, we .haveallocated about RM1.000 for a sewing work-shop for single mothers," said Adoan.

He said 141hillslope projectsinvolving Class3 (between 25' and35') and Class'4 (35' and above)slopes Were now frozen byt thedevelopers could submit fresh appli-cations drawn in accordance to theguidelines, anc;lthe state wouldassess these.

"It is not economically viable tojust freeze all these projects involv-ing millions of ringgit,"he said.

However, he denied that the state

had lifted its freeze on ,hillslopedevelopments.

He said the workshO[1had receiveda lot of feedback, especially regard-ing the development of Class 3slopes as well as on the maintaining"of hillslopes, adding that thesepoints would be taken into consid-eration during the fine-tuning of the')guidelines.

"We will also look into how theguidelines should be enforced. Thismay lead to the setting up of aspecial committee to monitor theapprovals and maintenance of hills-lope projects," he added.

At rhe same time, the state willinstruct local authorities to stUdy thehillslope developments in their areasby forming a task force consisting ofofficers with the expertise.

He added that even though theworkshops were over, the publiccoyld still send in their feedback to

the state.State Town and Country Planning

Department director 'Mohd jaafarMohd Atan said the guidelines, pre-pared by the department togetherwith the Mineral al\d GeosGienceDepartment, other relevant' techni"cal agencies and local authorities,would be ready by February.

He said the three important ele-ments introduced in the new guide-Unesare:
