FROM A PIONEER TO A

WINNER

a front-runner in the Video On Demand technology

2006: moviebeam spun off with $50 million investment

from CISCO, Disney and several venture capital firms including

Intel Capital, Mayfield Fund, Norwest Venture Partners and

Vantage Point Venture Partners

2008: moviebeam technology assets and content

relationships was acquired by Valuable Technology Group

(VTG)

Today: VTG is a global leader in Digital Cinema transmission

and has successfully launched Hospitality VOD in US Market

HOSPITALITY VOD: BLINDFOLDED TO THE

EMERGING REALITY CONTINUED RELIANCE ON OUT-OF-DATE PAY-PER-VIEW MODEL

Free High Speed Internet for the

Guests

“All-You-can-View” conquers “Pay-per-

View”

High Speed Internet enables TV anywhere

Hotel Network Upgrade required to

support “Free” VOD

VALUABLE TE CHNOLOG IE S , INC . | FOR PR IVATE C IRCULATION ONLY Slide 4

Guests watch video on their own laptops (and now, Tablets) utilizing

free High Speed Internet provided by the Hotel rather than to pay to

view movies on the hotel TV.

Generally, all video consumers (including hotel guests) prefer the “All-

You-can-View” subscription VOD model (a la, Netflix, Hulu, etc.) over

the traditional pay-per-view model of VOD

Page 5: Movie beam presentation

HOSPITALITY VOD: CHAINED BY THE

LEGACY LEGACY TECHNOLOGY AND STRANDED INVESTMENT PREVENT SWITCH TO “ALL-

YOU-CAN-VIEW” VOD MODEL

VALUABLE TE CHNOLOG IE S , INC . | FOR PR IVATE C IRCULATION ONLY Slide 5

Today, every time a guest watches a movie, it is

streamed from the media hub to the guestroom.

Current VOD networks in the hotels are not

equipped to support increased traffic that

may result from the “All-you-can-view”

service unless the Hotel served carries out

expensive network upgrades.

Current VOD operators lack content rights to

store movies locally on the guestroom STB.

They are required to store the content at a

centralized server.

With an existing customer-base served by

legacy technology, it is virtually impossible

for the incumbents to switch to a more

efficient technology architecture or a newer

business model.

TIME-HONORED CONTENT RELATIONSHIPS ONLY HOSPITALITY VOD OPERATOR WITH STORE-AND-PLAY CONTENT RIGHTS

Content Relationships is one of the toughest

entry barrier to the VOD business.

VTI not only bought the moviebeam’s

technology assets from Disney and its other

owners, but also inherited relationships with

Hollywood Studios and Content Aggregators.

These Studios have approved VTI’s store-

and-play technology platform that has

integrated state-of-art Conditional

Access (CA) and Digital Rights

Management (DRM) system.
