 Market bounced back after a fall for three consecutive days. Sensex climbed up nearly 1% (271 points) to close at 28931 and Nifty gained 76 points to close at 8776. Rally in the Asian markets and hope of government policy implementation boosted t he market sentiment. Most of the Asian market s gained half to one percent while South Korean central bank unexpected ly cut interest rates. IIP and CPI number will be announced today . Insurance companies, Metal, Mid-cap, Cement, Realty, Telecom and Pharma stocks witnessed smart rally. Insurance stocks gained on hope of Insurance bill to be put to vote today in Rajya Sobha. Reliance Capita l surged 10% to close at Rs490. Others like Aditya Birla Nuvo and Max India gained 4% and 5% respectively . ITC gained 2.5% to close at Rs347. Media report that the compa ny raised Cigarette price by up to 20%. Sintex gained 8% to close at Rs133. The company allots 4.6mn shares upon FCCB conversion to repay long term debt. Natco Pharma gained 15% to close at all time high of Rs2056. The company received Indian drug regulators approval to launch Solvaldi generic in India. Metal stocks wi tnessed fresh buyin g. SSL T, Hindalco, Tata Steel and JSW Steel gained 2-4%. Siemens was the biggest gainer among the capital goods stock. It has surged 6% to close at all time high of Rs1471. Te lecom stocks continued their northbo und journey. Idea gained 7% to close at Rs175. It has gained 11% in just three consecutive days. Both RCOM and Bharti gained 6% and 2% respectively. Bids for Indian wireless spec trum reached Rs920bn after six days of auctions. Nifty is in a 9000 -8500 band in which it will move until it closes decisively outside it. The current down-move can witness acceleration hence avoid bottom fishing for now. Initial support is at 8500 and we shall re-look at the development once the Index is around the same.     European stocks rose, extending a seven-year high, led by gains inminers and energy shares. FTSE and Dax gained 0.8% and 0.1%respectively.

    The Nifty pulled itself up breaking its three days declining trend. Opening higher at 8740, the Nifty meandered aboutto hit a low of 8732. In the second half it moved up to touch 8787 before closing at 8776, up 76 points for a 0.87% gain.The CNX Mid Cap and Small Cap indices moved enthusiastically to add 1.56% and 1.59% respectively. In the broadmarket advances led declines 2:1. All sector indices closed positive. Bank Nifty and PSU Banks index gained 0.51% and0.89% respectively. Realty, Auto, Commodities, Energy, FMCG, Infra Media , Metals and IT sectors closed up 1 to 2%each. Major gainers were DLF 3%, Cairn 5%, NTPC 3%, BHEL 3%, SSLT 4%, Hindalco 3% and Sun Pharma 3%.
