aintenanceThe erecting of a memorial is a very detailed and specialist duty which has to meet the very high standardsrequired under Health & Safety speci�cations, British Standards BS 8415 and the National Association ofMemorial Masons Code of Working Practice.

Memorial MaintenanceAfter a memorial has been installed, it is subjected to all manner of weather conditions and depending on its location, many environmental elements andpollutants etc. It is therefore an important consideration to have the memorial regularly cared for.

All Mossford memorials are erected by our own specialist memorial �tting personnel. These accomplishedand skilled sta� members are BRAMM (British Register of Accredited Memorial Masons) Licensed whichmeans they have been highly trained and then they have had to pass strenuous practical and writtenexaminations to achieve the highest possible quali�cation in the whole of the UK for competent andpro�cient erecting of memorials.

These craftsmen responsible for the memorial erection are always mindful of the respect and reverencethey need to have for the environment in which this work takes place.

There are various approved methods of �xing memorials which can vary from area to area and depend onthe design and size of each memorial. These �xing methods combat vandalism and provide greater stability in the event of ground movement.

All foundations used are of the highest speci�cation and quality anywhere in the UK. Mossfords never compromise on any standard or speci�cation of any�tting component to ensure that you have the con�dence and reassurance that the memorial erected in memory of your loved one will be a lasting anddigni�ed tribute of enduring stability.

There are many factors today that mean it is not always possible for everyone to be able to tend to their memorials on a regular basis. Many of our clientsutilize our extremely popular Memorial Maintenance Service.

Having a memorial, professionally maintained provides you with peace of mind and is a wise investment. The memorial receives regular visits throughoutthe year by our trained and skilled sta�. During each visit the memorial is professionally washed, cleaned and tended to, the grass surrounding the memorialis trimmed back and the memorial checked and inspected for any problems.

After each visit we write and inform our client that the memorial has been tended to which re-assures them of the continued high standard of thememorial's condition.
