Mortice Lock Hat The smaller circles within the larger circles that make up the motif of this hat remind me of the keyhole portion of a Mortice lock. In Canada, (where I live) Mortice locks aren’t often seen on doors and their most common application appears to be on furniture. Which begs the question- what do you keep locked in your coffee table? Is your coffee table actually not a coffee table, but a secret door that once opened leads to folding stairs descending to your subterranean spy lair? If so kudos’. Also, nice choice of lock.

Mortice Lock Hat

The smaller circles within the larger circles that make up the motif of this hat remind me of the keyhole portion of a Mortice lock.

I have also written out this portion of the pattern to help clarify how to decrease in pattern if you do not have a lot of experience with charts.
