How does Morpheus work? Morpheus uses micro-pins (micro-needling) to create tiny puncture wounds in the dermis to stimulate collagen and elastin production, which results in regeneration of the skin. Because the micro-needling is delivered in a fractional manner, normal skin is undisturbed, which also reduces healing time. Morpheus will begin to work after your very first session and will continue to work for weeks afterwards, as collagen production is stimulated. For maximal benefit, a minimum of 3 treatments are performed at 4-6 week intervals. Maximal improvement is seen at 3 months. Is Micro-needling With Radiofrequency Painful? Since a board-certified dermatologist will be providing your treatment, you can have access to Morpheu8 without the fear of intolerable discomfort. We offer effective topical anesthetic cream and other MD-directed pain protocols which can be discussed during your consultation.

What is Morpheus 8? Morpheus safely combines micro-needling and radiofrequency energy to improve the tone and texture of your skin. This device is FDA-cleared as a non-surgical, minimally invasive treatment to stimulate collagen and elastin production, which tightens the skin. . Why Morpheus 8? As an in-office procedure performed by a physician, Morpheus 8 tightens the skin with minimal downtime and has less risk than surgery. What areas can be treated with Morpheus 8? The face, neck, arms and body:

• Jowls • Sun Damage • Enlarged Pores • Wrinkles, Lines and Creases • Active acne or acne scars • Stretch marks • Surgical scars

Morpheus is color-blind, which means that it can provide benefit for all patients, including patients with darker skin tones.

Please let us know if you have any concerns regarding pain management prior to the procedure, so that we can adjust your protocol to include other advanced methods to minimize discomfort. What to Expect After Treatment Immediately after your treatment, your skin may appear pink with pinpoint marks which diminish over 1-2 days after treatment. Visible results can be seen within weeks after your treatment; however, it is important to remember that your skin will continue to grow and develop new collagen for up to 3 months. How many treatments will you need? The number of treatments needed depends on each individual’s skin quality and texture. Optimally, treatments should be spaced about 4-6 weeks apart. The best results may be achieved after only 3 treatment sessions. Like all skin treatments, the maintenance schedule depends upon your ongoing sun exposure, age, activity level, and genetic factors. What Kind of Post-Procedure Care Is Required? Sun avoidance after the procedure is important. Avoid direct sun exposure until the skin is no longer red and always apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen.
