Sing a new song to the Lord who has worked wonders; whose right hand and holy arm have brought salvation

The Lord has made known salvation; has shown justice to the nations; has remembered truth and love for the house of Israel. Refrain

All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. Shout to the Lord, all the earth, ring out your joy.

Sings psalms to the Lord with the harp, with the sound of music. With trumpets and the sound of the horn acclaim the King, the Lord. Refrain

Let the sea and all within it thunder; the world and all its peoples. Let the rivers clap their hands and the hills ring out their joy

at the presence of the Lord, who comes, who comes to rule the earth. God will rule the world with justice and the peoples with fairness. Refrain

(All Bow:) Glory be to God the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit: forever three in one.

As it was in the beginning forever more shall be, we praise the Holy Trinity now and through eternity. Refrain

• THE WORD OF GOD •A reading from the Letter to the Hebrews 3:7-14

The Holy Spirit says: Oh, that today you would hear his voice, “Harden not your hearts as at the rebellion in the day of testing in the desert, where your ancestors tested and tried me and saw my works for forty years. Because of this I was provoked with that generation and I said, ‘They have always been of erring heart, and they do not know my ways.’ As I swore in my wrath, ‘They shall not enter into my rest.’” Take care, brothers and sisters, that none of you may have an evil and unfaithful heart, so as to forsake the living God. Encourage yourselves daily while it is still “today,” so that none of you may grow hardened by the deceit of sin. We have become partners of Christ if only we hold the beginning of the reality firm until the end.
