The Straumann® PURE Ceramic Implant offers you a unique esthetic solution to treat patients with specific needs. While some patients have a thin gingiva biotype, which requires a specific treatment approach, other patients express their ex-plicit wish for a metal-free alternative.

HIGH PREDICTABILITY WITH REVOLUTIONARY OSSEOINTEGRATION PROPERTIES EQUIVALENT TO ESTABLISHED SLA® SURFACE2,3,4

For successful treatments with high predictability, surface structure plays an important role in achieving osseointegration5 – 8. The Straumann® PURE Ceramic Implant features the ZLA® surface, which is based on the well doc-umented SLA® surface. Both surfaces have very similar topographies. Pub-lished research data2,3,4 indicates the same healing pattern, healing time and bone maintenance for the ZLA® and the SLA® surface. The short healing time of 6 – 8 weeks, a revolutionary feature in ceramic implants, helps reduce the early failure risk9. 100 % PROOF TEST ENSURING RELIABLE IMPLANT STRENGTH

Studies have reported implant fractures of all-ceramic implants of certain manufacturers10, demonstrating how important mechanical stability is in the long term for a predictable treatment. The Straumann® PURE Ceramic Implant is designed and produced to mitigate these risks of fracturing and instability. The implants are manufactured from a high-performance Zirconia (Y-TZP).

In addition to the specific material choice, highly con-trolled production processes have been set to guaran-tee exceptional levels of quality. This is why every single implant has to pass a 360° mechanical strength quality check (proof test) before being packaged and delivered to the customer.

The implant’s excellent mechanical strength has been confirmed in a clinical study where zero fractures where reported after the 1-year follow up11. This high product standard and strong study data allow patients and clinicians to be completely confident about the reliability of the treatment.

High end esthetic solution thanks tothe ivory-colored material

Patient demands most often include an uncompromised es-thetic outcome of the treatment. In order to support clinicians to meet this need, the Straumann® PURE Ceramic Implant has a natural like ivory color. This specific feature makes the implant look more like a natural tooth and it supports the clinician in cases of thin gingiva biotype or soft tissue recession.

In addition to the color, the soft tissue also plays an important role in the esthetic outcome. An animal study has shown a reduced pocket depth and higher soft tissue attachment on the Straumann® PURE Ceramic Implant compared with a titanium implant.

The implant andits properties

The Straumann® PURE Ceramic Implant has a monotype design based on features of the Straumann® Soft Tissue Level Standard Plus and Straumann® Bone Level Implants.

The Straumann® PURE Ceramic Implant can be placed with the existing Straumann® Surgical kit while using a very simi-lar surgical procedure as for all other Straumann implants. It is available in two endosteal diameters of 4.1 mm and 3.3 mm, with two abutment heights of 4.0 mm and 5.5 mm. The implant system uses the same unified color code for instruments and implants that is known from working with Straumann® Titani-um Implants.

The product portfolio comprises tools to check proper implant placement, to overcome the healing phase and to create the crown. Specific position indicators will allow clinicians to check the future abutment direction and restorability. These indicators can be used after first drilling and after the final drilling. Specific impression caps and implant analogs are available for the abutment heights to transfer information of the in-situ situation to the dental lab.
