Scholarships and Financial AidEach year, UT Dallas offers Academic Excellence Scholarships (AES) to qualified incoming freshmen.

Prospective students who are admitted to UT Dallas by the priority deadline of January 15 are automatically reviewed for an AES award. Scholarships are subject to fund availability.

AES Highlights:

• Automatic review — there is no separate application for AES.

• AES awards are merit-based; factors include grades in all coursework, success in AP, IB or dual credit courses, SAT/ACT scores, class rank, extracurricular and leadership activities, and special recognition.

• There are three AES award levels: Achievement, Distinction and Honors.

Þ More information about each AES level can be found at utdallas.edu/aes.

In addition to AES, there are a wide range of other scholarship opportunities available to new and returning students.

Other University scholarship programs include the Eugene McDermott Scholars, National Merit Scholars, Terry Foundation Scholarship and Diversity Scholarship programs.

Other financial aid opportunities include grants, loans and work-study programs. In order to determine eligibility and take advantage of maximum funding availability, students should complete the FAFSA and TAFSA, for Texas students, as soon as possible beginning October 1.

Þ A current listing of scholarships is available at utdallas.edu/scholarships.

UT Dallas OutcomesInternships and corporate collaborations help prepare UT Dallas students for real-world experience.

This translates into opportunity and practical knowledge about how to be a leader and a team player. Students participated in more than 6,000 internships in 2016.
