An Introduction to my Multi-Disciplinary Unit

Focus

This unit has been developed for a K-12 resource room. It can be built in different levels and will be used to meet each students individual IEP goals. Each student will have their own individualized criteria. It is my intention to build this unit over time as students move from one year to another. It is my goal to get the first level developed during TTL 2000 and develop the other levels as they are needed for our students. Other portions could be added as the Special Education staff sees fit.

How are we going to do this?

You are going to help!!We will work together to set up specific requirements for YOU.

We will set up a classroom store and you get to help decide how it is run.

You will decide how you earn money and how you can get bonuses.

You will decide when you have to pay for things.

When the store is open, you will be able to decide whether to spend your money or to save it.

You will do journaling once a week.

Can we continue this next year?

YES WE CAN!!

As you master one portion of the unit, you will “graduate” to the next level. (Example: after you successfully complete a month in the counting money portion, you will move on to the Saving Account portion of the unit)

Mastering a portion of the unit means finishing a set amount of time in it without going into debt.
