June 16th we will have our monthly Mainte-nance and Utilities

Catholic Appeal Update

Great progress ! I am very happy to announce that we are at 87% of our goal due to the generosity of many parishioners. We have benefitted greatly from central ministries in the nearly two years I have been serving in the parish. We continue to receive their help in many areas including our Disciples in Mission initiative. If you haven’t yet made a pledge or an offering please consider helping us to reach our goal of $25,209 Currently: $22,141 Thank you for your support of our Church! Fr. Martin

Rest in Peace

Please note: The 5pm Sunday evening (Confirmation Class} Mass will discontinue for the Summer. Starting in June there will be no Sunday 5pm mass for the summer. It will resume in the fall. Sorry for any inconvenience.

New Statue Our Lady of Good Counsel has re-ceived a very generous donation by Margie Lawless for the beautiful new statue of Our Blessed Mother imported from Italy. A donation in Memory of the Abbruzzes and Lawless families. I am very grateful for this great addition to our worship space. Thank you Margie for all you do for our parish. The smaller statue of Our Lady of Grace is now in an alcove shrine prepared for Our Lady along with a prayer petition notebook. Please add your prayer intentions to the book (at either church) and we will remember them at our masses each week as we seek our Blessed Moth-er’s intercession. It is my hope that our new statue will inspire us all to pray more and have an even greater devotion to so noble a mother. Mother Mary brings us closer to her son Jesus as she intercedes for us her children. O Mary Conceived without sin, Pray for us who have recourse to thee.

Please Come to the Night 4 Life As our culture moves further and further away from God, it is losing its moral compass. There are many who refuse to recognize the dignity and sanctity of all human life in all its stages and the serious sin that abortion is, the taking of an innocent life. It is not only the unborn that is effected, the damage to the mother physically, psychologically, and spiritually is very great and often ignored by what St. John Paul II called “a culture of death.” It is our duty as Christians to stand up for life—God’s greatest gift. The loss of the sense of the sa-credness of life has led to a culture that has become in-creasingly more violent and dangerous. Much prayer is needed, and so is action. Our witness speaks volumes. There is healing and forgiveness for those who turn to God. Please come and pray for mother and child. See below.
