When do you have to work?
• Create a hypothesis based on physical evidence, actions of the victims and suspects before, during and after a criminal event
Duty for crime scene investigators
• At least a Bachelor’s degree (Bigger companies)
-Forensic science
-Anatomy
-Chemistry
• Some companies do not require degrees
Education needed
• Visually identify
• Lift heavy objects
• Qualify with firearms
• Operate and maintain police vehicles and equipment
Abilities needed
• 720 hours in crime scene processing
• 80 hours in latent fingerprinting processing
• 40 hours in major death investigation
• 40 hours in advanced death investigation
• 40 hours in photography
• 40 hours in blood spatter interpretation
Experience needed
• Colorado Technical University
