A Note from Fr. Patrick New Staff Position: Assistant Director of Development This week, we will post a job for a new position: Assistant Director of Development for Annual Giving and Communications. This person will work under our Director of Development, Tara Doyon, to lead our devel-opment efforts to parents and alumni as well as to coordinate parish stewardship. This person will also help develop and implement a communications strategy. The start date for this new position is July 1.
The past few years, we have increased Campus Ministry programming and participation while covering all of the costs from sources other than Sunday collections – mostly grants and extraordinary gifts. Unfortunate-ly, these grants and extraordinary gifts are at an end.
In an effort to maintain and even to expand the growth of Campus Ministry without placing a significant financial burden on resident parishioners, the primary objective of this new position will be to increase and stabi-lize our financial support of Campus Ministry from sources other than resident parishioners. In particular, we intend to cultivate our rapidly growing network of parents and young alumni.
I want to assure you all this decision has been made only after extensive consultation with peers working in the development field and at other campus ministries as well as after several conversations with our Parish Finance Council. With Tara able to spend more time meeting with benefactors and the new Assistant Director building a more robust outreach to all of our benefactors, we firmly believe these efforts will create enough reve-nue this year from outside St. Paul’s to cover the costs of a new position and, in the long run, to cover the annual operations of Campus Ministry.
We recognize the risks, but we take this step trusting in the guidance of the Holy Spirit and believing absolutely in the importance of our mission to our student and resident parishioners.
Please pray for us. If you have questions, please contact Tara Doyon for more information. Hoosier Catholic Week The 3rd annual Hoosier Catholic Week will be February 19-27. The events are primarily geared
toward our student parishioners, but we invite all parishioners to join, though men’s and women’s nights are geared toward an adult audience:
Keynote Speaker (February 19, 7 pm): Trent Horn from Catholic Answers.
Women’s Night (Feb. 20, 7 pm): An evening of table fellowship and formation for women with speaker, Madison Cipoletti, Director of Young Adult and College Campus Ministry for the Archdiocese.
Men’s Night (Feb. 24, 7 pm): An evening of table fellowship and formation for men with speaker Fr. Jonathan Meyer, pastor of All Saints Parish in Dearborn County.
Magnify (Feb. 27, 7-9pm): Eucharistic Adoration, prayer, Confession, and music. Matt Faley, Archdiocesan Director of Pastoral Ministries, will provide the music.
Sincerely yours in Christ, Fr. Patrick [email protected]

Winter Clothing Drive
We are having our annual winter clothing drive for refu-gees who have recently arrived in Indiana. Items needed include winter coats, hats, gloves, scarves, boots and blankets. Household cleaning supplies are also appreciated. Last year, Exodus welcomed 394 refugees from 11 different countries. Some were families, some women and children, who fled their homelands due to vio-lence. Thank you for your kindness!
Teams of Our Lady
There will be a Teams of Our Lady information meeting Thursday even-ing, Feb. 13, at 7pm downstairs in the North and South meeting rooms.
All married couples are invited to learn the details around the Teams Movement.
Teams of Our Lady is a group of 5-7 couples who meet in their homes monthly to share their news, a potluck meal, prayer, and a study topic with a family/marriage/spiritual focus. The couples form a unit that is supportive and caring.
There are a number of Teams that are already formed in our St. Paul community. We are welcoming mar-ried couples to start new teams.
Solidarity Lunches Participate in the CRS Rice Bowls experience this Lent! We will meet downstairs in Hig-gins Hall every Sunday after the 10:30am Mass beginning March 1 for a pitch-in meal. Bring a Lenten recipe to share (visit www.crsricebowl.org for some great recipes) or just come as you are. There will be plenty to share!
Let’s learn about our global family and encourage our Catholic call to Solidarity!
