Tony Johnston Principal Highschool Orientation Year 6 students are invited to attend Hastings Secondary College, Westport Campus for High School Orientation on Tuesday 26 November. The times are to be confirmed and further information will be sent home in the coming weeks. There will be High School Orientation for other local schools while our Year 5 and Year 6 students are on their Canberra Excursion. We have been working with Hastings Secondary College since the beginning of Term One to arrange an alternative date so that our students did not miss out on their High School Orientation. Year 6: Hastings Secondary College Scholarship Applications are now open To acknowledge and encourage excellence Hastings Secondary College offers a number of scholarships to Year 6 entering Year 7 in 2020. Applications are online. If you would like a paper copy please contact Michelle Garven at Hastings Secondary College – Westport Campus. We are excited to extend our scholarships to eight (8) valued at $250 at each campus, to incoming Year 7 2020 students in the areas of excellence in Academic, Sporting, Cultural or Community Involvement. Cupcake Stall The year six fundraising cake stall did not need any self-raising flour as an ingredient to be successful last week, with four full tables of brightly coloured cupcake variations on show and ultimately sold to raise much needed funds for the Year Six farewell evening. The final result of the Cupcake stall was around $400 being raised in order to assist with the costs related to Year Six Farewell evening on the 16 December. The Year Six students have been quoted as saying how pleased they are with the school community's support and of course no one complains about eating cupcakes.
