Highly regarded
Kocks Shipyard cranes stand in a
great tradition, as the company con-
tinues the business of the former
KRUPP Kranbau, which has supplied
60% of all Goliath cranes worldwide.
More than 40 Goliath cranes and
heavy-duty cranes have been built
and sold during the last decades.
Kocks stands for quality and reliabi-
lity as well as innovation.
Parallelly to the trend in shipbuilding
towards manufacturing in large
sections Kocks has developed Goliath
cranes that ideally match the requi-
rements of today’s shipyards. The
Goliath cranes of Kocks with a span
of more than 200 m and a lifting
capacity of more than 900 tons have
set new standards for hoisting,
turning, transporting and assembling
heavy, bulky goods and prefabri-
cated parts.
The standard Kocks design has four
basic elements that are well proven
and give you an edge when it comes
to long-term cost efficiency.
The Girder
executed as double trapezoidal box
girder means:
■ clear statical conditions
■ full utilization of the lifting
height
■ excellent accessibility
■ easy mounting and removal of
the trolley components
Kocks – Experts in the Field of Goliathand Heavy-Duty Cranes
Our cranes are operated in more
than 50% of all large shipyards

double-girder execution
The Pier Leg
■ In spacious monobox design per-
mits e.g. the installation of an ele-
vator or additional staircases. No
additional structures need to be
attached to the crane.
Pendulum support
■ In tubular construction to reduce
wind resistance
The Trolleys
■ With the mechanisms arranged on
the trolleys themselves, thus resul-
ting in a simple rope reeving
system, short rope lengths and
only a few sheaves.

Slewing Cranes from KE Kranbau Eberswalde – Precision and Reliability
The inventor of the
double-link luffing principle
Work on the building berths of
major international shipyards calls
for
maximum precision, independent of
the size and type of ships to be built.
Slewing cranes working on the
dock or the slip-way and on fitting-
out quays are essential equipment
for modern production.
Considerable outreaches and lifting
heights as well as high carrying
capacities between 8 and 150 t and
more, high speed and a smooth ope-
ration – those are the main criteria
in selecting the right shipyard crane.
Decades of experience in the con-
struction of slewing cranes for ship-
yards and goods handling companies
make KE Kranbau Eberswalde the
obvious partner with a great deal of
know-how and innovative ideas.
Our production line includes cranes
designed specifically for this purpose
of operation, single-link and
double-link level luffing cranes ideal
for precision assembly, which will
be built in accordance with the cus-
tomers’ requirements with regard to
lifting height, gantry gauge, outreach
and carrying capacity.
KE Kranbau Eberswalde shipyard
cranes are reliable high-quality pro-
ducts with a great availability.
Slewing cranes of KE Kranbau
Eberswalde offer:
■ the possibility to work between
the docks
■ a shortening of ship building
periods
■ weather-independent operation
■ the possibility of high-precision
lifting, thus accelerating pro-
