DESCRIPTION

Mobile Health is getting a lot of attention. There are over 60,000 apps now targets wellness in one way or another. Mostly these are for monitoring and used in disease prevention such as diabetes, cardio vascular rehab and for battling obesity. The future is in applications that can be tied into the health network and keep people out of hospitals, which consume nearly 30% of the US healthcare budget. The Affordable Care Act has visibly changed how payers are looking at their customers and this is creating all new opportunities that much bigger than an app on an iphone.
