Welcome, welcome, one and all, to the veryfirst Mega Man letters
page! This is where youguys and gals out theretake over and tell uswhat YOU think aboutthe series! So withoutfurther delay, here is
the very first e-mail eversent to [email protected]!
Dear Mega-Mail,Congratulations on landing
perhaps the greatest
possible licensing deal
you can get in the worldof video game comicadaptations. I have to sayto you guys:well done!
Rare! I mean, thanks!
I don’t think I could put all
my thoughts in a letter of
reasonable length, so I’m
just going to say, “Greatjob, everyone!”
Big props to Ian, SPAZ,Gary, John and Matt for
making the book lookincredible month after
month!
As a lifelong Mega Manfan who has grown up with
the Archie team's other
video game adaptationseries, I have to say, themarriage between youtwo has produced the
most beautiful baby in this
comic.
One thing Capcomproducts are known for andone thing I am extremelyglad to see brought into
this comic are Easter Eggs.Boy, does this issue havea lot of great Easter Eggs;I don’t know the best place
to begin! I loved it all, the“Bad Box Art” Mega Manin “Short-Circuits, the Dr.
Light Sprite, the Newsbots,
Mega Man LegendsPolice, and Neige all in thecrowd! It was great.
I guess you could saythat when it came to
Easter Eggs, we...
HOPPED.. .to it...ithankyou
But because of theseadditions and what theymay mean to the story of
the comic, I have a fewguestions, or perhaps “the
usual”?
Fire Away!
1) I always thought that
the news robots were“Robot Masters” and that
“Robot Masters” are robots
which are more advanced, and more humanoid, thanother robots (like Metals,
for example). I supposethese “Newsbots’' wouldn’t
be considered RobotMasters in the comicthen? What exactly is
the definition of “RobotMaster” in the comicuniverse?
A Robot Master refers
to a machine with the
advanced artificial
intelligence created byDr. Light and Dr. Wily,
that has been designedto perform a givenfunction in society.
“Robot Master” alsorefers to their ability to
command other robots,like the “Newsbots.”
2) Neige is from MegaMan Zero 4, which takesplace Centuries after
Mega Man. So who’sthis girl? Time traveling
news reporter looking tor
a scoop? Great-Great-Grandmother who looks
and dresses and hasthe same vocation assomeone from the future?
Just an easter egg that
I shouldn’t be worried
about?
The last one!
3.) Now that youprobably will begetting numbersin soon for the
success of this
comic, any news onadapting any other series
of Mega Man? It’s obviousthat at least Spaz seemsinterested in them.
We would love to tacklesome of the other seriesin the future! Write in
and let us know whatseries you’re dying to
see adapted!
Anyway, great way to start
up the series. Keep onjumpin’ and slidin’!

Thanks for writing in,
Stephen! And congratson being the very first
Mega-Mail e-mail!
Dear Mega-Mail,I have been waiting for amonth for this to arrive in
the mail, and it came just
two days ago. I just read it
now and it was just great! I
love the art so much. I give
my regards to all of youworking on the comic, but
specifically Spaz. The style
is cute, but it still packs apunch. It remains similar
to the Mega Man art style
as well. Oh, and the short
comic at the end made melaugh. I can’t wait to seethe later issues! Thank youfor making this awesomecomic, and I hope to seemore soon.
