Mission Statement• ‘The Plug’ is the ultimate rap magazine that gives rap fans the latest information on their

favourite rappers, concerts, new albums and other information related to the world of rap. My magazine will also provide a platform for up and coming artists and give them a chance to get their music heard. The plug is referring to your supplier and in this case the magazine supplies the reader with everything a rap fan would want. The Plug also refers to a piece of publicity promoting a product, event, or establishment. The magazine will include competitions and quizzes to win items and meet artists which will let my target audience more engaged and connected. The typical reader of this magazine enjoy listening to rap music, street fashion and dream of living the stereo typical rapper lifestyle. The magazine will cost £1 due to my questionnaire results and as it’s a reasonable price. The magazine will be able to be found in supermarkets and stores like HMV there will also be a choice for subscription. My magazine will also have other media platforms including WWWThePlug.com. The topics will include things such as newest albums, 1st person interviews, reviews and information on gigs, concerts and the background of rappers. I’m hoping to make my magazine informative and inspire young talented rap artists to make it big, this magazine will feature both famous and not so famous rappers so that it appeals to casual rap fans but can still connect to the hard core rap fans whilst finding out about new music and the next big rappers. The style of my magazine will be youthful, fun and urban.
