CAM Capabilities: We can transfer PCB files from CAD to Gerber format: Tango, Pads, PCAD,
Orcad, EE, CadStar, Win Protel etc.
CAM Responsibilities: Check PCB file and amend layout according to customer’s requirement
Cam Data Output: Drilling Data, Artwork, Profile Data (all data kept on file)
CAM’s Function:
Layer Alignment: Ensure Layer-to-Layer registration
Solder Mask Creation: Create solder mask layer according to PCB layout.
Drill Layer Creation: Create drilling layer according to PCB layout.
Drill Layer Optimization: Optimize drill size.
Non-Functional Pad Removal
Un-terminated Vectors: Open-Short check for layout.
