2. 10:05 Review of the EAC Needs Survey Results Tom Exhibit 2A EAC Survey Results (will be presented during the meeting)

Background: The survey results are reviewed. Actions:

1) Provide for a review of the survey and how to use the Excel spreadsheet to search for results

Minutes:

Q: Is it possible to upgrade equipment? For example if an EMS agency has 12 Lead that does not transmit, upgrade that equipment in order to transmit.

o A: Yes, may submit request for an upgrade.

Ben will send spreadsheet with results to subcommittee via email o Ask agencies to check for accuracy

Tom suggested to add to survey where individual services sent their patients to, want to make sure the receiving hospitals are using the same equipment as EMS agency

3. 10:15 Equipment Application and Award Process Scott Exhibit 3A MLWY Application for Equipment

Background: Hospitals and EMS agencies will fill out an application for equipment and capability gaps. The EAC will utilize the survey to justify the application process. Action:

1) Review Exhibit 3A 2) Discuss timeline for applications

Background: To provide overview of the allotted dollar amount set for equipment purchases and review vendor quotes. Information only. Minutes:

Ben asked Physio and Zoll vendors to revise their quotes to look similar to Philips quote (easier to read and price compatible to ) for EMS use

Reviewed receiving stations pro/cons for vendors 1) Lifenet (Physio) 2) Rescue Net (Zoll) and 3) Heart Start (Philips)

o Consider purchasing a receiving station that is compatible to the one used on the EMS agency that provides service to your hospital

o Consider also that your hospital will be able to continue paying subscription fees after the grant

Tom suggested to have a list of pro/cons of vendors from other EMS/hospitals that had similar grant funds

o Ben suggested to contact others through the Mission: Lifeline Community website and ask about their experience with their vendors, Ben will send link

Equipment funding applications and vendor quotes will go out March 18 with a due date set at April 1.

We will review the applications for the first round of equipment placement on April 4, before the WSC meeting.
