Biola Media ConferenCe 2007 1
WelCoMe
Welcome to the 12th annual Biola media Conference!
recently, a fellow entertainment ministry friend told me that discussions on ‘how we’re to think
about the new studio faith-based divisions or about grass root films like Facing the Giants’ was
burning up conversation on their yahoo group. he encouraged me that he felt this was the right
topic at the right time.
This week on infuze.com, our host Craig Detweiler raises the questions, “Will we see a gold rush,
where sub-par products flood the marketplace and spoil this hard earned opportunity? should we
be satisfied to see ourselves as a niche market, what some have termed ‘spiritainment’? or is our
calling more inclusive, to communicate to far more than ourselves?”
We hope you’ve come with questions of your own, and that’s why we’ve gathered—to survey the
landscape of new media frontiers, to hear from pioneers in the fields of entertainment and to
collectively discover how to “mine” our potential in the new hollywood.
so grab a pic-ax and dig in!
