Mini Scrapbook Album Tutorial recreated by Madeline Morcelo with authorization from Carol Matthews...the master mind behind the original tutorial!! I don't know how to describe this album... I think is elegant, beautiful, and elegant, beautiful, ELEGANT, BEAUTIFUL!! The original tutorial is from Carol Matthews. I saw her project and requested permission to recreate it for the April round of Inkspired Tour '10. This is a wonderful mini album, perfect as a gift for Mother's Day! The original tutorial is from Carol Matthews.

I saw her project and requested permission to recreate it for the April round of Inkspired Tour '10.

This is a wonderful mini album, perfect as a gift for Mother's Day!Is made of envelopes and have three pockets to insert pictures or special words

for that special person in your life...you mother!Hope you enjoy this tutorial as much as I enjoyed making it!

This tutorial is going to be developed in a little different way...remember, I'm just recreating it!

** For the album body you'll need:

(3) Very Vanilla envelopes -medium size (A2 size...5-3/4" x 4-3/8")

1. Add adhesive or Tacky tape to the inside flaps of two of the envelopes ONLY.

2. Remove the red liner and attach envelopes together, matching the crease in the flap to the bottom of the next envelope. The one with no sticky strip is going to be on the top of the three envelopes.

The picture on the left is the inside and the one on the right is the outside of the envelopes after been adhered together. The body of your album is completed.

Now, let's decorate it!!

Step #1

These are the pieces you'll need for the cover flap.

(2) pieces of 5-5/8” x 2-1/8” of Not Quit Navy.

1. Sponge one of the long sides and adhere to the creased edge on the front side of the flap that is not connected to any envelope. Trim to match the flap.

2. Do the same to the other side or the back.

3. Once adhered, round the corners using the Corner Round Punch and sponge the other three sides.

This is how the top flap will look on both sides.

Use these pictures as a guide when putting together the scalloped circles to embellish the cover flap of the album:

1. Adhere the three scalloped circles together. Use the pictures as a guide.2. Punch a 1” circle from Not Quite Navy CS.

Center the hole in the 1-3/8” circle punch and punch creating like a doghnut.3. Center it in the middle scalloped circle and adhere.

You piece will look like this...

Adhere this piece in the center of the album flap. Use the following picture as a guide:

Step #2

(3) 5-1/2” x 4-1/8” pieces of Not Quit Navy CS. 1. Sponge the edges of all these pieces.

(3) 5-1/4” x 3-7/8” pieces of Bella Blue DSP. 2. Adhere, tape, or glue to Not Quit Navy CS pieces.

Use the next picture as a guide...

3. Adhere or tape these pieces to the outside of the envelopes, where you normally write the address. Center them! This is how it will look!

Step #3

(3) 5-3/8” x 3-3/4” pieces of Not Quit Navy.1. Sponge the edges of these three pieces.

(3) 5-1/8” x 3-5/8” pieces of Bella Blue DSP.1. Adhere, tape, or glue these pieces to each piece of CS.

Use this picture as a guide.

Step #4

1. Center the Wide Oval Punch in each piece of CS that will be adhered to the inside section of the envelopes. Insert the CS half way into the punch and

punch a semi oval opening in each piece of CS.

2. Use the first punched CS as a template to mark the openings on the other two pieces using a pencil; then punch those openings.

3. Place adhesive ONLY on three sides of the CS but not on the opening side. Use the picture as a guide.

4. Place the CS on the center of each envelope. These are the pockets of your album.

Step #5

(3) 5-3/8” x 1” pieces of Not Quit Navy1. Sponge the edges of these pieces.

(3) 5-3/8” x 3/4” pieces of Bella Bleu DSP1. Adhere to the other three pieces Not Quit Navy of CS.

2. Punch three (3) Scallop Circles from Very Vanilla CS.3. Punch three (3) 1-3/8 circles from Not Quit Navy.

4. Stamp “MOM” using an alphabet stamp set, like the one I used here, “Lovely Letters Alphabet” and punch using a 1-1/4” circle punch. Place each

letter on the narrow strip on each envelope.

Put all these pieces together using the following pictures as a guide:

This is how the insert pockets of the album should look like!

Step #6

(1) 2” x 11” piece of Not Quite Navy.1. Sponge the edges using coordinating ink

(1) 1-1/2” x 11” piece of Bella Blue DSP.1. Adhere, tape, or glue the DSP strip to the Not Quit Navy CS.

2. Score @ 4-1/2, 4-3/4, 9-1/2.

3. Fold on scored lines, place around finished envelope scrapbook album and glue ends of the band together.

4. To embellish the belly band, punch one (1) scallop circle from Not Quit Navy CS. Sponge around with coordinating ink. Punch one (1)1-3/8” circle from Very Vanilla CS. Punch one (1) 1-1/4” circle from Not Quit Navy CS.

Attach the three pieces together.

5. Stamp “4U” from the Tiny Tags stamp set on Very Vanilla CS with Not Quite Navy ink. Punch out with the medium jewelry Tag punch. Do the same with

another stamp from the same set but on Not Quite Navy CS.

6. Tie a bow using vanilla taffeta ribbon. Adhere to the center using glue dots. Punch a tiny hole on the tags, insert a silver brad and adhere to bow using a

glue dot. Check the next picture...

Step #7

(3) 5-1/4” x 3-3/4” pieces of Not Quite Navy CS.1. Sponge the edges with a coordinating ink.

( 3) 2-1/2” pieces of vanilla taffeta ribbon.Fold in half and staple to the center of each piece. Check the next picture:

Sorry...it's blurry!!(6) Top Note design pieces from Very Vanilla CS.

1. Adhere these pieces on both sides of the three (3) Not Quite Navy pieces.

These are the inserts of the pockets...add pictures, poems, special words...whatever you want to make your Mom feels special!!
