Paper trimmer / craft knife Small, sharp scissors for fussy cutting

Scoreboard 12mm Double-sided tape

Important Information, please read carefully before you start. • All measurements are given in centimetres.

• Measurements are given width x height.

• Cut all your base pages first and keep all the bits for matting and making tags etc.

• Please note which side of the pattern paper is used! Use the photos to assist you.

• Fussy cut the fussy the following (just one set of each):

o PP6014 – sentiments

o PP6015 – borders

o PP6016 – journaling cards

o PP6017 – words

o PP6018 – tags, banners and circles (remember, you can use circle punches to punch the

circles).

o PP6019 – Fussy cutting sheet.

• Ensure that you use good quality double-sided tape.

• DST = double-sided tape AS = Advertising strip (barcode)

• RHS = Right hand side LHS = Left hand side

• PP = Patterned Paper CS = Cardstock

Album Cover

• From kraft, cut 2 identical pieces measuring 18cm x 22cm.

• Join these 2 pieces of cardstock together to create a single piece of cardstock measuring 36cm x

22cm.

• Adhere DST around the outside edge of the hardboard for the spine and both the cover pieces as

well as a few strips in the centre of the hardboard.

• Starting with the spine, remove the release tape and place it in the centre (top and bottom and left

to right {approx. 2cm border all around}) of this newly created “outer cover”, then add a piece of

6mm tape on either side of the spine (you need this gap to stop the spine from tearing) before

attaching the covers in line with the base of spine.

• Remove the release tape from the back of the front and back cover hardboard and add to the left

and right of the spine.

• Pop some DST all around the outer edge of the cardstock. Mitre all 4 corners.

• Mitre all 4 corners leaving about 2 to 3mm between the cut line and the edge of the board.

• Remove the release tape on the “long sides” of and fold in.

• “Tuck” each of the four corners as seen here.

• Once you have tucked all 4 corners, remove the release tape and fold in the short sides.

• To stop your inside covers from bulging, you will need to do the following:

o Add a strip of 12mm tape on each side of the 6mm DST on the hard board (4 pieces in total

running from top to bottom of the spine).

o Add another strip of tape to the spine.

o Add 2 strips of tape to the inside covers to assist with anchoring the pattern paper.

• Carefully remove the DST from the hardboard, including the DST from the 6mm gap between the

hardboard and the pattern paper, and attach the inside covers to both front and back.

• Next up, I have added a simple closure to the mini album. Cut a piece measuring 21cm x 12,5cm (I

used an off cut from the outer cover and cut it down to size). Score at 7cm and 13cm on the 21cm

side. Add DST to just the 7cm section as seen below.

• On the album, measure in 7cm from either the right-hand side and stick the closure down as seen

below. I have stuck the “lighter” side down on the album

• Now add a couple of strips of DST along the album from top to bottom as seen below. You do not

need to take the DST to the edge of the album.

• From PP6012 (you will need both pieces) cut two pieces that measure 15cm x 16,7cm for the front

outer cover.

• Adhere DST around the outside edge of each piece on the wrong side.

• Stick these two pieced down onto the outside of the album. You may have a little gap where they

join but don’t worry as we will be adding a little strip to cover this gap. Rather position your paper

so they line up with the outside edge. Your “finished” album should like the following…. Pattern to

the outside (yes, the outside) and kraft to the inside. You may “crack” your spine.

• Make up the base pages as per the instructions and adhere to the mini album.

Front Outer cover

PP6009 1 10cm x 15cm To create closure, use DST to adhere this piece of PP. Only adhere tape to two of the short sides and one long side to create an opening for the kraft closure to slot into. Use an offcut strip and a journaling card to complete your front cover to your satisfaction. I matted the journaling card onto Kraft from the word chippie. Add one of the border strips from PP6015 to cover the small gap between PP.

Front Inner Cover

PP6009 1 12cm x 16,5cm Measure in 3cm and 9cm from LHS and draw 2 pencil lines. On the LHS pencil line, measure down 4cm from the top and make a mark. On the RHS line, measure down 10cm and make a mark. Join these 2 marks together with a pencil line and then make a cut along this line. I made a double cut so that my tags can easily fit into the slot.

1 PP6088 1 10cm x 20 cm

Score at 14,5cm on the 20cm side. Apply DST to the 2 short sides and 1 long side to create a little pocket. Keep off cut to use on page 16.

2 PP6013

1 15cm x 14,7cm Score at 10cm on the 15cm side. Once scored, apply 2 pieces of tape on the wrong side of the PP as seen below. This will create a tuck spot. (This is not the actual piece, I am just showing how to create the tuck spot so that your goodies don’t slip out.)

3 PP6014

1 12cm x 15cm Score at 1cm and 11cm on the 12cm side. Turn 90° and score at 14cm on the 15cm side. Add DST to the right side in the 1cm areas created by the score lines. Mitre corners and fold in sides, ready to attach to page. Using a thumb notch punch or a 1” circle punch, punch a little notch into the top section.

Create a tag to pop into the pocket. Score at 6 cm on the 12 cm side – fold and use in tuck spot created by the floral fussy cut element.

10cm x 14,7cm 10cm x 14,7cm

Cut PP6010 to 20cm x 14,7cm and then cut this piece in half to create two 10cm x 14,7cm. Score at 1cm on the 10cm side. Apply DST to the 1cm area created by the score line. Fold over and adhere to page. (Do the same for both pieces) Use this piece to hide the attachment of flaps above.

Cut 3 5cm squares from the offcut from page 2.

Fussy cut the floral wreath element. Add Acetate to the back of the element. Trim down to fit on the page. If you don’t have a photo to pop underneath, only attach the element temporarily with a dot of glue.

Stick flap on page. (Use off cut from page 4) Score at 7,5cm on 15cm side. Stick down to create a flap.

CUT PAGE 8 AND 9 TOGETHER Trim off the AS and then trim down to 14,7 cm x 20cm. Divide in half to create a LHS and a RHS mat. Add sentiment from one of the advertising strips.

Score at 1cm and 11cm on the 12cm side. Add DST to the right side in the 1cm areas created by the score lines. Mitre corners and fold in sides, ready to attach to page. Stick flat on page and then add the belly band. I matted one of the journaling cards and stuck it down using DST on just 3 side to create an extra little pocket on top of the belly band to add interest. (Adhere DST to 2 short sides and 1 long side to create a side opening pocket.

Use off cut from page 12 – Score at 1cm and 10,5cm on the 20cm side. Fold over to create a little band – seal with thin tape. Apply DST to the 1cm area created by the score line on the right side. Adhere to page. Use off cut from page 11 – stick this piece flat on the page, covering the band attachment.
