EXPERIENCE2016 Governor’s Fellow Program- Gov. McAuliffe Administration – Richmond, VirginiaSecretary of Commerce and Trade (June 1st – July 29th) Designed spreadsheets comparing and contrasting Virginia’s international exports to the other

states and territories in the Nation. Attended meetings with the Secretary and engaged domestic and international businesses on

state policies and re-locating to Virginia. Created policy proposal on Life Skills Curriculum in Juvenile Detention Centers and

presented to Governor McAuliffe. Drafted white paper and briefed the Deputy Secretary on research and development facility,

Commonwealth Center for Advanced Manufacturing. Developed survey for Workforce Services and Training in order to measure effectiveness of 7

agencies under the Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP).

Democratic Party of Virginia-Hillary Clinton Coordinated Campaign - Richmond, VirginiaField Organizer for Southside Richmond Managed Richmond regional volunteers and coordinated events on behalf of DPVA. Assisted in registering 60,000 new voters in Richmond, Chesterfield, and Henrico Counties. Consolidated volunteers from 10 precincts for GOTV to increase voter turnout in indigent

neighborhoods.

Virginia General Assembly – Richmond, VirginiaLegislative Intern – The Honorable Senator Mamie Locke (January– March 2016) Headed 2016 General Assembly session research team that reported to Legislative Assistant,

Theresa Parker. Represented the Senator and spoke on 100 Black Men Day and Hampton Roads Day. Drafted talking points on legislation and Points of Personal Privilege and briefed the Senator

on the status of various bills. Resolved constituent inquiries regarding policies and grievances.
