The Purpose of this calendar is to raise money for a mission trip to Brazil. The trip is organized by Mid State Baptist Association of Macon, Ga. Individual members come from 7 different Churches. We are working with a Brazilian mission to the Indigenous peoples of Brazil (UNIDAS). 150 Indian Tribes have been identified in the area around Pimenta Bueno, Brazil, of which only 30 have been evangelized with the Gospel of Christ. The Brazilian government does not allow outsiders into the Indian Territories. The facility outside Pimenta Bueno is to train Indians to reach unreached Indian tribes. So far we have built a Men’s dorm, a married couple’s duplex, roofed and poured floors for the dining room/ kitchen, and dug a well. Next year the plans are to build classrooms. You can be a part of this work by praying for us and buying this calendar and supporting our mission.
The Indian work in the Pimenta Bueno, Brazil area began in 2004 by Mario Ribamarr and his wife, indigenous missionaries to the Tupari Indians. Approximately 1200 Tupari Indians live in 24 villages, nine of which can only be reached by river. There are more than 200 believers. There are four indigenous missionary families working with the Tupari and other tribes in the area. To train these believers to evangelize the neighboring tribes, a training center was needed. Mid-State Baptist Association of Macon, GA has partnered with this ministry to assist in the construction of this training center. Other churches are involved as well.
