D E S I G N P R O C E S SITD is conducting a long-term environmental study and traffic analysis of I-84 between Caldwell and Nampa. The Middleton and Ustick overpasses are a part of this study.
ITD is in the process of working with local jurisdictions, key stakeholders and the traveling public to advance the design of the overpasses to expedite the widening of I-84.
The Middleton and Ustick overpasses were built in
1966 and do not allow room for additional
lanes on I-84.
he Idaho Transportation Department is making plans to replace the Middleton and Ustick overpasses on I-84 in Canyon County.
Replacing the overpasses will allow ITD to add lanes on the interstate, which is expected to improve safety, traffic flow and economic opportunity for many years.
