The Pressure EliminatorBy using this innovative TEMA patented technology,residual pressures in hydraulic lines can beovercome smoothly and without effort. The useof a micro-valve, incorporated in the coupling orplug will automatically release any residualpressure on reconnection.

The Pressure Relief ValveA pressure relief valve mounted directly in the pressurised line will release the dynamic pressure in this hydraulic system by pushing a button. Attached couplings can now be coupled pressure-free! After coupling, release the button to re-pressurise.

Lubrication NippleThe TEMA lubrication nipple is a vital accessory item in order to prevent dirt to enter into couplings in disconnected position. It will also prevent freezing up of the coupling mechanism. The nipple is simple to use, just reconnect onto coupling body and you can easily protect internal mechanical parts using a standard grease-gun. A valuable accessory item in many climate zones.

O-Rings / Profile ringsDepending on the application, TEMA couplings areequipped with seals in various alternative materialqualities, e.g. NBR, FKM, EPDM or PUR. Many cou-pling series have double O-ring seals as standard – to increase durability.

ISO-ProfilesIn order to offer maximum interchangeability, theTEMA IA (ISO A) , IB (ISO B) and IF (ISO F) serieshave been designed to conform to the latestinternational ISO-specifications. This will ensurefull compatibility with all standard couplings andplugs which conform to the same specifications.

Material QualitiesDepending on working pressures and applications, TEMA couplings are being offered in hardened steel or brass. In addition, numerous series can be supplied as standard in stainless steel (AISI 316).Series 70 - 76 are manufactured in steel, brass and stainless steel (AISI 303/316 Ti).

Surface FinishZinced, thick-film passivated, Yellow coloured, additional sealed to prevent corrosion. QPQ-treated: a black-colored, surface hardeningtreatment which minimizes mechanical wear andoffers additional corrosion protection.
