Iraqi People and Their MPs Are Not Convinced In the Ability of the International Coalition to Defeat Daash
The rapporteur of the parliamentary Committee on Foreign Relations Iqbal Abdul Hussein confirmed
that the Iraqi people and their representatives are cont convinced in the ability of the international
coalition to defeat Daash. She told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: "The international
coalition, after more than a year of its formation with large capabilities, could not achieve tangible
progress if compared with the achievements of the armed forces and the popular defense forces
during the last period."

US Officials: Pentagon puts Pressure on a Number of Arab and European Countries to Send Troops to fight Daash in Iraq and Syria
US officials announced there is a pressure from the Ministry of Defense / Pentagon / on several
European and Arab countries to send troops to fight the terrorist organization Daash in Iraq and
Syria. The officials said in a report that "this call is based on what the US administration sees as a
beginning of the momentum of the battle in Iraq and Syria, and give a feeling within the ministry that
the campaign against / Daash / progressing very slowly and needs urgent military action."

Tribal fighters repel ISIS attack on joint security posts east of Baqubah
Memeber of Diyali Provincial Council Karim al-Jabouri announced on Monday, that the clan fighters
had managed to repel an attack by ISIS militants on security posts belonging to the militia of al-
Hashed east of Baqubah. Jabouri said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “al-Hashed in the
area of Shurwin (45 km east of Baqubah) had managed to repel an attack by ISIS on several joint
security posts near the river of Diyali,” adding that, “al-Hashed had succeeded, in coordination with
the army and police forces, to prevent the advance of ISIS towards its security posts, in addition to
dismantling two explosive devices that were planted to target the military troops.”

French Charles de Gaulle Carrier launches airstrikes on ISIS sites in Iraq
On Monday, French aircraft have launched air strikes from “Charles de Gaulle” aircraft carrier for the
first time, and bombed targets belonging to the ISIS organization in Iraq. “Reuters” quoted the
French armed forces as saying, “The French aircraft have launched from the aircraft carrier Charles
de Gaulle and hit targets belonging to the ISIS organization in Iraq for the first time.”

Bomb blast wounds policeman and civilian northeast of Baqubah
A source in Diyali police said on Monday, that a policeman and a civilian had been injured in a bomb
blast northeast of Baqubah. The source informed IraqiNews.com, “A bomb that was emplaced under
a vehicle parked near the al-Asri Neighborhood in central Maqdadediyah (35 km northeast of
Baqubah), has went off, resulting in the injury of a policeman and a civilian who were near the site of
the blast,” adding that, “A security force cordoned off the area of the incident and transferred the
injured to a hospital to receive the treatment, while opened an investigation into the incident.”

A source in the Interior Ministry announced on Monday, that nine people had been either killed or

Khamenei accuses the United States of helping ISIS in Iraq
Iran’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei has accused on Monday the United States of helping the ISIS in
Iraq. Khamenei said in his remarks during a meeting with Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari on
the sidelines of the Summit of Gas Exporting Countries held in Tehran, “the international coalition
cannot be trusted at all,” indicating that “the United States and others stand behind the formation of
these terrorist groups and its support.”

35 ISIS elements killed, wounded in clashes in Salahuddin
A security source in Salahuddin province announced on Monday, that the joint forces were able to
repel an ISIS attack on the oil fields of Alas and Ajil in Salah AL-Dien province. The source said in an
interview for IraqiNews.com, “The army, federal police and al-Hashed al-Shaabi were able, at a late
hour last night, to repel an attack by ISIS on the oil fields in Ajil and Alas in an attempt to control
them,” noting that, “Those forces were able to kill 25 ISIS elements and wound 10 others.”

A local source in Kirkuk province announced on Saturday, that the ISIS executed 10 civilians and hung
their bodies on electricity poles southwest of the province. The source said in an interview for

The announcement of the examination result on Ahmad al- Chalabi's body
The Family of MP Ahmad al-Chalabi announced that the medical examinations on the body of the
late proved that the death was natural. Chalabi died earlier this month due to a heart attack,
according to the first medical reports. Chalabi, who was 70 years, is one of the most prominent

Commander of Nineveh operations: ISIS collapsed after the liberation of Sinjar
The commander of Nineveh operations confirmed that ISIS has collapsed after the liberation of
Sinjar, while pointing out that the battle of Mosul will not be traditional, especially after the
organization has been infiltrated from inside. Maj. Gen. Najim al-Jubouri told Shafaq News, that
there was "a major collapse in the ranks of local ISIS elements in Mosul after the organization lost
Sinjar."

Minister of Finance discusses the work of al-Rafidain and al-Rasheed banks' managers
The Minister of Finance, Hoshyar Zebari met al-Rafidain and al-Rasheed banks' managers , a number
of ministry officials and experts to discuss the two banks banking reality in the country. During the
meeting, they discussed the means taken by both banks to raise their services according to the
International Standards, particularly with respect to the adoption of the overall banking system ,

Iraqi Kurdish Leader: Peshmerga Could Help Liberate Raqqa from Islamic State
Kurdistan Region President Masoud Barzani suggested in an interview this week that his forces, the
Kurdish Peshmerga, could travel to Raqqa, Syria and participate in an assault to liberate it from the
Islamic State (ISIS). Raqqa is almost 350 miles from Erbil, Iraq – the capital of the Kurdistan Regional
Government of Iraq (KRG), and widely considered Arab territory with a small Kurdish population. It is
the “capital” of the self-proclaimed Islamic State “caliphate.”

French jets have again struck Islamic State (IS) targets in Iraq as French president Francoise Hollande
met with British Prime Minister David Cameron to rally support for the fight against IS. French jets
taking off from the country's Charles de Gaulle aircraft carrier in the eastern Mediterranean

Canadian airstrike alleged to have killed 10 civilians in Iraq
Canada's military is facing fresh allegations its bombs may have killed civilians in northern Iraq, CBC

Syria army advances against ISIS in central province of Homs
The Syrian army recaptured a town and village in the central province of Homs from the Islamic State
group on Monday, state media and a monitoring group said. "The army in cooperation with popular
defence groups (pro-regime militias) took control of Maheen and Hawareen in the southeast of
Homs province after inflicting heavy losses on Daesh," state television said, using the Arabic acronym
for ISIS.

SNC: Russia air strikes on ISIS doesn’t go beyond 6% of its targets
Russia air strikes against the notorious ISIS group does not go beyond six percent of its total targets
in Syria, head of the main opposition Syrian National Coalition (SNC) group said Monday in a press
conference in Turkey. Instead, Khaled Khoja accused Russia of targeting moderate rebels and civilians

Assad claims ‘situation has improved after Russian airstrikes’
Syria’s President Bashar Al-Assad has claimed that the situation in his country has improved following
Russia’s participation in the fight against “terrorism”. Speaking to Hong Kong’s Phoenix TV, Assad
noted that it is now nearly five years since “terrorism infected” Syria. “Of course, because of the
support of regional and international states, the terrorists could capture many areas within Syria,” he
explained. “Recently, however, after the participation of the Russian air forces in fighting terrorism,
the situation has improved in a very good way, and now I can say that the army is making advances
along nearly every front; although the front is not very precisely defined, it’s not wrong, but let’s say
in many different directions and areas on the ground.”
